He Bo (何波)
Born on 26 February 1949 in Yingkou, China, He Bo has been fond of drawing and calligraphy since his childhood. Graduated 1986 from Harbin Academy of Liberal Arts, he lives and works in Hangzhou, China, using the pseudonym “Bing Yun” (冰云, ice cloud). He is famous for his water and ink paintings of horses, but also for his landscapes which integrate traditional Chinese and modern Western painting techniques. He is member of the Chinese Artists Association and the Chinese Calligraphy Association and holds the status of a “Chinese National Senior Artist”. Numerous reports in Chinese media: Chinese Art, People’s Daily (overseas edition), Xinhua News Agency, Daily Newspaper, Guangming Daily, Evening Newspaper (Hong Kong).
